TERRAN WATSON

Owner & Operator

For the past seven years, I’ve been dedicated to helping dog owners achieve their goal of having a well-behaved companion. My journey started in 2017 as a kennel technician, where I built my skills from the ground up. Over the years, I gained invaluable hands-on experience working with highly aggressive, reactive, and fearful dogs, shaping my expertise in canine behavior. I'm currently enrolled at Animal Behavior Institute working towards my Dog Training & Behavior Specialist certification to further my experience and credentials.

After working at a top training facility in Denver and later joining the Dog Academy team, my passion for dog training became a full-fledged mission. That’s how My Balanced Canine was born. I saw countless owners struggling with their dogs' behavior but unable to afford professional training. I wanted to bridge that gap by providing affordable, high-quality training so every owner—regardless of their budget—has access to the tools and knowledge to train their dog effectively.

Unlike larger training facilities, I focus on training plans tailored to each dog, and giving them the individualized attention they need by working with only 2-3 dogs at a time. This ensures that each dog gets the personalized care and guidance they need to succeed. Whether you're dealing with reactivity, aggression, or wanting to perfect basic obedience, I’m here to help you and your dog build a stronger, more balanced relationship.

My passion for dog training also exists in the animal rescue world as well! I love offering my services free of charge to local animal shelters and rescues, so the animals they care for have a better chance of being adopted. Unfortunately, dogs are often returned to shelters because of unknown or undisclosed behavior problems. I want to help change that.

With my two Siberian Huskies at my side, I want to help improve the relationships of owners with their dogs everywhere. By keeping dog training fun and using positive reinforcement and appropriate corrections, you will see the change in your dog's behavior in just your first session. Everytime you interact with your dog, it's a training opportunity. So, let's not wait any longer! Let's train together today!
