"Terran has been absolutely PHENOMENAL with my dog Timber and I! My almost 5 year old lab mix stayed with Terran for 7 days to really focus and work on loose leash walking, reactivity towards other dogs when he is on the leash, and getting his overall anxiety under control.
I cannot express enough how thankful I am to have found Terran because Timbers anxiety and reactivity have decreased considerably, and his loose leash walking skills improved immensely! My last trainer for Timber told me that his anxiety was something we’d just have to live with, and to put him on meds. But when I found a Terran and we did the consultation I knew immediately that she could help me, her confidence and kindness speak volumes! I was having some anxiety of my own about a board and train but talking with Terran and seeing her in action working with Timber I never ever once doubted her abilities to not only train my dog but treat him as her own while he was with her. She was incredibly responsive and transparent from the very beginning, through a training schedule to always responding to texts and sending me constant updates of Timber progress (and his goofy self). I could write a novel on how much gratitude Timber and I have for Terran and My Balanced Canine best piece of advice I can give you is DO IT! Book the training! Old dogs CAN learn new tricks!"

"I met Terran at the dog park and I could sense her love and tenderness towards her own dogs and others as well. Terran has helped us with getting our pup more comfortable with his crate, socialization, and walking on a leash politely, safe entrance/exit of a vehicle among other skills. Terran has also taken the time to provide extra resources such as checklists and other homework for us as dog owners. Further, she is extremely communicative and reliable. She now trains our pup regularly and sometimes also dog-sits for overnights. I am thrilled our paths crossed and we will continue to work with her. Her sense of optimism and enthusiasm for dogs is contagious."

"We first met Terran at the local dog park. We had recently adopted a rescue that was part husky, and quite a handful. We noticed Terran had two huskies that were incredibly well-behaved, so naturally we had to ask. That’s when we learned she was a dog trainer who did individualized lessons. We had tried the traditional larger/structured class for Spike, and he only made moderate progress. Terran began giving Spike individualized lessons at our house, and that made all the difference. He respected her and was very responsive to the things she worked on with him. She also gave us specific drills to work on with him between classes. These were quite helpful, and we still do these with him from time to time to reinforce better behavior. Two years later, Spike is still a very “spirited” dog, but so much better thanks to Terran. We can’t recommend her enough!"
